Description
Multi-Function Electronic Warfare (MFEW) Air Large (AL) System Solicitation Number: W56KGY17RF001 (Note: This was the last RFI #) Notice Type: Special Notice Agency: Department of the Army Office: SFAE-IEW-EA Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846 Synopsis: Program Executive Officer (PEO) Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S), Project Manager (PM) Electronic Warfare & Cyber (EW&C), Product Director (PdD) Electronic Attack (EA), is issuing this special notice to provide industry an update on the Multi-Function Electronic Warfare (MFEW) Air Large (AL) program. The MFEW-AL system will provide the Army with an Offensive Electronic Attack/ Electronic Warfare Support System to be mounted on a Class IV Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The MFEW-AL Capabilities Description Document (CDD) was validated by the Army on 8 December 2017. In accordance with revised Army acquisition initiatives, the PdD EA will implement a streamlined acquisition approach, focused on rapid prototyping, to develop a MFEW-AL system. This approach seeks to reduce program risks and provide timely capabilities to the Soldier. Therefore, the Government's intent is to use the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) Advanced Technology Support Program IV (ATSP4) IDIQ contract vehicle for this MFEW-AL rapid prototyping effort using fair opportunity ordering procedures.
