Description

  NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veteran Affairs Southeast Louisiana Health Care System has a requirement for Pleuroscope equipment. The NAICS code is 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing and the business size is 1250 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Alliant Healthcare selected by Olympus America Inc. as its exclusive authorized Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Partner for certain medical products sold by Olympus Medial Systems Group (the Products ). Olympus retains the exclusive rights to not distribute, sell or service their systems through any other source within the US Government marketplace. The proposed action is for the procurement of (1) Pleuroscopy for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a) (2)(ii). Interested parties may identify their interest for this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 12:00pm CST March 7, 2018. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 03/07/2018 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
