Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue sole-source firm-fixed one-time procurement of EEG Equipment for use at the Birmingham VA Medical Center, 700 19th St S. in Birmingham, AL 3523. A sole source procurement will be issued to XLTEK LTD. The equipment requested are two portable EEG acquisition stations used for recording or monitoring patients with known or suspected seizure disorders/epilepsy. These acquisition stations work in concert with a network-based central server and review stations with proprietary software, and will integrate with such a system already in place at the BVAMC that represents over $1M of existing assets. Due to the proprietary nature of these systems, no other manufacturer s acquisition stations will interface with the existing infrastructure. The specific elements of these stations are as follows: Acquisition Desktop w/IP Streaming HD PTZ Color Camera on Cyclops Cart, isolation Transformer, EMU 40 Epilepsy Monitoring Headbox, NeuroWorks 7 x Acquisition Suite w/Spike / Event & High Res Video, Extended Video Monitoring Controllers, CPA Persyst Comprehensive Monitoring Package (Continuous Monitoring) for Acquisition (incl Reveal, MM, Spike Rev, MS Word Report Editor for Neuroworks/Sleepworks, Computer Provided with Encrypted Hard Drive, 24in FP Monitor. Due to the specialized nature of the work it must be conducted by personnel with a high level of training and qualifications. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)(2), "soliciting from a sole source." The NAICS code is 334510 and has a size standard of 1,250 employees for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 1:00pm EST, Feb 19, 2018 to: Benford.Brundage@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
