Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format and procedures in FAR Part 15 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is not a Request for Quote/Proposal/Bid and no contract or purchase order will be awarded as a result of this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications, or drawings available at this time. The Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk, VA has a requirement for Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) units with corresponding S-Band 10cm and X-Band 3cm Radar Units for various classes of MSC ships. The new ECDIS, S-Band 10cm, and X-Band 3cm system shall meet the requirements on all US Navy, ABS, USCG and IMO requirements specified. The contractor will provide all details of the units, including certifications and how they meet this specification in their proposal. The contractor will provide ship sets and spares of ECDIS, S-Band 10cm and X-Band 3cm radar systems in accordance with applicable ABS, USCG, SOLAS rules and regulations, and IEEE and MSC requirements. Specific delivery descriptions and instructions, sufficient in detail to allow for Contractor performance, shall be provided with each Delivery Order (DO) issued under this single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Some deliveries may be urgent or may require material lead-times to be expedited in order to get parts delivered to MSC vessels. This requirement will be solicited as Full and Open Competition. All responsible small businesses and large businesses may submit a proposal in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by the agency. The estimated issue date of this solicitation is on or about 01 March 2018, with a closing date on or about 01 April 2018. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted to the Government Wide Point of Entry located, Federal Business Opportunities, located at https://www.fbo.gov under Solicitation Number N32205-18-R-0052. The appropriate NAICS code is 334511. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. There are no responses due based on this pre-solicitation notice.
