- RFQ The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the Thermo Electon North America purchase.Ultimate 3000 LPG-3400SD Low Pressure Mi for maintenance for one year. The Thermo Electron North America LC-MS Fleet spectrometer was design and built by Thermo ELectron North American LLC; therefore, as manufacturer of the instructment they are only ones wih background experience with system, immediate replacement parts availability, and maintenance/emergency service personnel to assure maximum operational availability of the instrument. The current project project is built on the data base created from the previous projects conducted by his research group. The contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotitate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.30-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capabiity to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competttive procurement. Any quotation/responses should be emailed to Desiree Harris at huq9@cdc.gov by 1:00pm EST. By February 27, 2018.
