Description

Sources Sought Notice. Draft PWS The Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs (ATSD(PA)) is the principal staff assistant and advisor to the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) and the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DEPSECDEF) on news media relations and public communications, among other duties. As part of its mission, OATSD(PA) must also provide DoD leadership and public affairs staffs throughout the U.S. military with research and analysis on how the various news media, including bloggers and social media, are covering national security topics. This information may be used either to provide context about, or to make decisions on, national security topics. The research and analysis is derived primarily from publicly available sources, such as print/online news outlets, television, radio, blogs, tweets, other public-facing social media sources, and public opinion/public research organizations. Other sources (e.g., the Open Source Center) may also be used. See attached Draft PWS and Sources Sought Notice.
