Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Middle East District (TAM), has a requirement from State of Qatar, funded through Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) QA-B-HAA. This LOA is in support of the Government of Qatar's Apache Helicopter procurement case; LOA QA-B-WYX. LOA QA-B-WYX primarily includes, the aircraft, munitions, and logistical and training support. The Apache helicopter is part of an overall effort to improve the security of a friendly nation that has been, and continues to be, an important force for political and economic progress in the Middle East. These required facilities and infrastructure will support the bed-down and operations of the Apache helicopter mission and allow for integration with U.S. forces for training exercises, which contributes to regional security and interoperability. The scope of the project will be constructed in accordance with the Solicitation is: (1) Renovate Existing Parking-Maintenance Helicopter Hangar and Apron. The Period of Performance (PoP) for this work shall be 150 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP); and (2) Qatari Armed Forces (QAF) West Munitions Storage Area. The PoP for this work shall be 300 calendar days from NTP. The project has four options: Option #1 Renovation Existing Apron, Option #2 Design of Hangar Renovations, Option #3 Mobile 400 Hz Frequency converters and Option #4 Fire Protection Engineer Report in accordance with the contract documents. The name of the project has been revised to Falcon-3 Facilities and Infrastructures, Qatar.
