- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to, Hunt Valve Actuator, LLC of Roanoke, VA. NSWCPD has a requirement to support multiple Weapons Elevator and Stores Elevator Electromechanical Actuator (WESEEA), Portable Power Supply, test equipment and support equipment and the installation, testing, and troubleshooting support of the WESEEA. The Government intends to make an award prior to the 3 rd quarter of fiscal year 2018. Hunt Valve will be required to provide engineering services, Actuators, parts, Actuators support equipment and associated technical information, logistics data, and technical services in support of the Stores and Advanced Weapons Elevator systems currently installed on the Gerald R. Ford class aircraft carriers. Additionally, Hunt Valve will be required to provide engineering services, Actuators, parts, Actuators support equipment and associated technical information, logistics data, and technical services in support of the NSWCPD Land Based Engineering Training Site (LBETS) currently being installed at NSWCPD. This will require Hunt Valve to provide engineering services to support troubleshooting and repairing Actuator malfunctions, support Actuator integration into the LBETS, and provide systems software and hardware updated to ensure the Actuators reflect current shipboard configurationsThis requirement is for NSWCPD Code 432, which is responsible for training, reliability evaluation and In-Service Engineering Support (ISEA) for the Advanced Weapons Elevator (AWE). Pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Hunt Valve is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the Navy's requirements for the specified effort. The proposed award and resulting contract modifications are for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
