Description
SSJOFOC (REDACTED) CATTLE GENOME SEQUENCING. The NAICS Code is 5 41714 with a Size Standard of 1,000 Employees. This is a Small Business Set Aside. The USDA, ARS, NEA, Animal and Natural Resources Institute (ANRI) located in Beltsville, Maryland intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (i), "Soliciting from a single source" based upon only one responsible source. The USDA intends to solicit and negotiate with ActiveMotif located in Carlsbad, CA to provide the following: 1) Product Code: 25079, ATAC-Seq. (2 samples in duplicate); Unit: 4 EA; Product Code: 25086, ATAC-Seq. Optimization, UNIT: 1 EA; 3) Product Code: 25001, FactorPath TM ChIP-Seq.; UNIT: 8 EA; 4) Product Code: 25046, Sequencing of Input / Control DNA; UNIT: 1 EA; 5) Product Code: 25031, TranscriptionPath TM ChIP -Seq.; UNIT: 2 EA. ActiveMotif will also provide a final report within ninety (90) days after receipt of the award. The primary objective of this work is to evaluate the epogenomic regulation induced by nutrition element (butyrate) which is the major energy resource of cattle. The result datasets are also important for the functional annotation of cattle genome, especially the functional genomic elements that related to rumen development. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. However, all inquiries received within seven (7) calendar days after date of publication of the Limited Sources Justification will be considered by the Government. Information may be emailed to the Contracting Officer at lisa.botella@ars.usda.gov. A determination by the Government not to complete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any resulting procurement would be conducting in accordance with FAR Part 13. An award notice to ActiveMotif will be posted on the FBO in the near future. This procurement requires the use of Biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P).
