Description
This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the scope for cleaning, maintaining, and reporting Oil/Water Separators. The contractor shall obtain and pay for all permits inspections required by the local boards that have jurisdiction over the project. All work shall be executed and inspected in accordance with all local and state codes, rules, ordinances, or regulations pertaining to the particular work involved. All Oil/Water Separators, equipment, and piping materials shall be physically inspected. Any defects observed shall be immediately brought to the attention of the Contracting Officer. 1.Inspection of Oil/Water separators must be perform to include leak detection, overfill protection, vents, gauges, alarms, level controls, and all necessary electrical and plumbing. 2.Reporting on any deficiencies with existing oil/water separators. 3.All work shall be preformed in a professional, safe, and environmentally responsible manner in accordance to applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 4.Inspections and repairs shall be carried out in accordance to American Petroleum Institute (API) Standards, CFR Standards, and CWA Compliance. 5.Waste Disposal: The Contactor shall thoroughly clean oil/water separators. All sludge, sediments, wash water, and other deleterious material from the oil/water separators shall be removed and properly disposed of by the Contractor. NOTE: Manifests must be Signed by the Public Works Environmental Division The oil water separators and tank(s) shall be professionally cleaned for personnel entry to the extent necessary to perform the required inspection. The Oil Water Separators cleaning shall coordinate all site work with the base point of contact (POC). The Oil water separators, grease traps, and commercial grease interceptors shall be properly operated and cleaned regularly to prevent the release of appreciable quantities of oil, grease, or other prohibited or limited substances into the sewer system. The extracted material shall not be reintroduced into the sanitary sewer at another location.
