- Description
- The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) seeks other than full and open competition and intend to award a sole source contract to hire a secured contractor to install all required electrical services to several new pieces of equipment scheduled to be put into service at the SPF facility. Doleac Electric Company, Inc., out of Hattiesburg, MS, was awarded the sole source. Doleac Electric Company has been in the electrical contracting business since 1947 with their primary market areas being South Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. The statutory authority permitting the sole sourcing of services is MMAR 6.302-1, (a) Authority. (1) Citations: 41 U.S.C. 5(3). " When only one source of supply is available " only from the original source". This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responses shall be sent to smorgan@gpo.gov on or before February 15, 2018, no later than 10:00 noon, EST.
