- Questions and Answers - revisions are shown in red. Attachment # 1 - W911W5-18-T-0003-0001 Solicitation Document THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO EDIT THE REQUIREMENT. THE 20 LIFTING SLINGS DO NOT NEED TO BE LOAD TESTED. THE SLINGS ONLY NEED TO BE INSPECTED. THE INSPECTIONS MUST BE DOCUMENTED. THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS HAVE ALSO BE REVISED TO REFLECT THIS CHANGE. AS WELL AS THE STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) WHICH IS INCORPORTED IN THE SOLICITATION, ATTACHMENT #1. REQUEST FOR QUOTE: This is a Request for Quote (RFQ). The Army Contracting Command-Warren-National Ground Intelligence Center (ACC Warren-NGIC) has an FY 18 requirement for Overhead Crane Services. SCOPE: The contractor shall provide all labor and materials to perform annual inspections, annual maintenance, and load testing of 2 each Demag 20-ton overhead cranes as well as perform inspections of 20 each lifting slings. The contractor shall also provide training for up to 10 personnel on the safe operation of these overhead cranes. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW): See attachment # 1, solicitation # W911W5-18-T-0003-0001, for SOW details. SITE VISIT: The Government intends to host a site visit for this requirement. The site visit will take place on February 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. To gain access to Aberdeen Proving Ground, all attendees must go to the 715 Gate Visitor's Center, show their ID, vehicle information/registration, and be granted a pass. The site visit will be held in buildings 4727 and 4728 located on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. See attachment #2 for directions to building 4727 from the 715 Gate Visitor Center. No more than one employee per company is permitted to attend the site visit. Interested sources that will attend the site visit must email Brad W. Morris at bradley.w.morris4.civ@mail.mil no later than January 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. stating so. RESPONSE DEADLINE: Interested sources shall provide responses to this RFQ via email in softcopy form (electronically) in Microsoft Word compatible format no later than 2:00 PM ET (local Eastern Time) on February 16, 2018. Fax submissions will not be accepted. Responses received after this date and time may not be considered. BASIS OF AWARD: The Government will select for award the offer that is the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Buildings 4727 and 4728 located on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFQ and all costs associated with responding will be solely at the interested party's expense.
