The Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal AL, 35898 intends to award Thermo Eberline LLC, of 27 Forge PKWY, Franklin, MA, 02038-3135 (Cage Code: 52GB6, Element of Resource Code 2571) on a sole source basis, a firm-fixed price contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302.1(a)(2), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Thermo Eberline will provide preventive and remedial (on-call), on-site maintenance services for Thermo Eberline -manufactured Harshaw Model 6600-Plus Automated TLD Card readers for a base contract period of one year, plus two option years to be exercised based upon continuing bona fide need for services and availability of funding. The U.S. Army Dosimetry Center (USADC), a component of the U.S. Army TMDE Activity (USATA) located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama has a requirement for a service agreement for ensuring that its radiation detection systems are protected to the highest level and operate at maximum performance. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516. The service agreement shall provide maintenance and replacement parts for the following government-owned and operated equipment: Automated Thermo-Luminescent Dosimeter (TLD) Harshaw Reade, Model 6600. Quantity 3, Serial Nos. 9705149, 9705150, 06042491 Under this service agreement the original equipment manufacturer shall furnish all labor, diagnostic software, hardware, documentation, schematics, repair parts, any required shipping of equipment and parts, and tools required to provide both scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and "on-call" remedial maintenance (RM) for stated model and serially numbered items listed above. Maintenance shall be provided on-site at Building 5417 and Building 5435, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, as applicable to the location of the equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations and a solicitation will not be issued for this requirement. Any responses or inquiries to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
