- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY - This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. Solicitations are not available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunity website: http://www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The purpose of this RFI is to identify interested parties capable of performing Commercial Bus Transportation Services. The 409th CSB, Theater Contracting Center, located in Kaiserslautern, Germany is exploring options for commercial bus service to be provided for military personnel and their baggage in and around Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria. All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to receive a contract award should this become a valid requirement. If not registered, register by going to the website at http://www.sam.gov. NAICS Codes: 485510 - Charter Bus Industry Market Research Questionnaire: The questions below will help determine the most suitable approach to acquire the services identified in this RFI: What are your capabilities for fulfilling our requirements? What is your company's safety record? Does your company have the proper current licenses? What kind of training/monitoring do you have in place for your drivers? What type of buses do you have? What amenities do you offer with your buses? Do your buses have latrines? Do you have baggage trailers for excess and oversized bags and equipment? Can soldiers carry their weapons and approximately 20 rounds of ammunition for force protection on the bus? What is your lead time to schedule operations? Where do you have offices? Responses are required to be received no later than 3:00 PM Central European Time (CET) on 14 February 2018.
