- This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC), Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) intends to award a Firm-Fixed price purchase order to Bruker Daltonics Inc., Billerica, MA 01821 on a sole source basis to procure maintenance service for two (2) MALDI Biotyper® Systems, the Microflex and Microflex SMART mass spectrometers, manufactured by Bruker Daltonics Inc. Bruker Daltonics is the only known company that can provide the service needed for the instruments that must match the existing government owned equipment the current validated Microflex system and NIH built databases, as well as offering interfacing capabilities with SOFT SCC LIS and Trek Sensititre systems. Bruker Daltonics does not train or supply service via third party. The technology and supporting information is "PROPRIETARY" to Bruker Daltonics Inc. Period of Performance shall be for a base year of twelve (12) months from date of award with two (2) one (1) year option periods. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219 with a large small business standard size of $20.5 million. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested concerns capable of providing the same products or services as described in this notice may submit a capability statement outlining their capabilities. No solicitation is available. Information received will be evaluated for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability Statements must be received within the time set forth in this synopsis to be considered by the Government. A determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Each response should include the following Business Information: a. DUNS number and tax identification number. b. Company Name, address, POC, Phone and Email address c. Current GSA Schedules or NAICS codes appropriate to this Award. d.
