Description

Bid Board Notice - Nonhuman Primate Behavioral Control and Acquisition Software The purpose of this acquisition is to procure MWorks Software and support as the software is needed to control and collect data during nonhuman primate behavioral neurophysiology experiments. The NIMH IRP conducts basic research on the neural mechanisms underlying such cognitive functions as perception, memory, decision-making and emotion in non-human primates. A great number of these studies involve training and recording from nonhuman primates. Such studies rely on specialized experimental control and data acquisition software. Dr. Arash Afraz was recruited from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where the MWorks software was developed and is maintained. This software is essential for his research program. MIT offers software and support for MWorks, which Dr. Afraz will need to conduct his experiments.
