Description

This Sources Sought Notice is to solicit interested SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES or VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS capable of meeting the following requirement: The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center (GVMVAMC), located in Jackson, MS, has a requirement titled "Correct Sprinkler Deficiencies. The government's intent is to issue a solicitation to award a single contract. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran-Own Small Business. Additionally, this acquisition will be awarded in accordance with FAR 14.408-1(a) to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the Invitation for Bid, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors. Please do not send questions regarding this notice, as it is only a Sources Sought Notice. Questions will be accepted only after the solicitation has been published. The anticipated solicitation is projected to post on or about February 12, 2018, on this website. Hard copies will not be mailed. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). INTERESTED PARTIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF ACTIONS INCLUDING POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS. ADDITIONALLY, BIDDERS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS TO THE SOLICITATION NOTICE. NOTE: Interested parties are to submit their Capabilities Statement to the Contracting Office (No more than 20 pages, please) via email to ambera.parker@va.gov no later than 2/9/2018 at 4:00pm CST. The following is an abbreviated reference of Statement of Work and does not address the entire requirement: CORRECT FACILITY EOC SPRINKLER DEFICIENCIES THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL MATERIAL AND LABOR to correct the Facility EOC Sprinkler Deficiencies at the Jackson VA Medical Center. Contractor shall price accordingly and be prepared to work normal and after hours to accommodate the facility needs to have sprinkler pipes installed into the following areas and requiring the following work: Basement Computer Room Drain system, wall penetration, pipe runs, proper room coverage, tie in and valve to the system. First Floor Computer Room - Drain system, wall penetration, pipe runs, proper room coverage, tie in and valve to the system. Fitness Trailer - Drain system, wall penetration, pipe runs, proper room coverage, tie in and valve to the system. Clinical Penthouse - Drain system, wall penetration, pipe runs, relocate sprinklers underneath ductwork, tie in and valve to the system. Audiology Booths - Drain system, wall penetration, pipe runs, proper room coverage, tie in and valve to the system. Work must be completed within 90 days after Notice to Proceed. Project phasing and schedule will be coordinated with the VA COR in collaboration with the Contractor. A 60-day bid acceptance period is required. Performance and Payment bonds will be required from the contractor receiving award. A pre-bid conference is TBD. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 / 561621 with a small business size standard of $36.5M/ 500 employees. Bidders shall be registered at the Vendor Information Pages at www.vip.vetbiz.gov, in System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov, and have completed online Representations and Certifications prior to the solicitation due date. Bidders shall be registered with the NAICS code 236220/561621 assigned to this acquisition.
