- The National Park Service (NPS) will issue a Prospectus soliciting proposals for the award of a Concession Contract to provide Marina Operations at James Creek Marina within National Capital Parks-East on January 29, 2018. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the Concession Contract. The Service has determined that the existing Concessioner is not a Preferred Offeror for the Draft Contract pursuant to the terms of 36 C.F.R. Park 51. Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner must be received by the Chief of Concessions, National Capital Region, National Park Service, 1100 Ohio Drive, Washington, DC 20242 by 4:00 p.m. EST on April 13, 2018, in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the Concession Contract. Questions related to the Prospectus must be received in writing via email to chad_tinney@nps.gov no later than February 27, 2018. The Prospectus will be available at NPS Concessions Commercial Services website at https://concessions.nps.gov/prospectuses.htm Hard copies will be available upon request for a printing cost recovery charge. The fee is $35.00 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30.00 per copy if picked up in person. Persons interested in obtaining a Prospectus should mail, or bring in person, a check or money order made payable to the NPS (Cash will not be accepted). You must include a physical address (no P.O. Boxes) and a telephone number to receive a Federal Express package. Contact the Chief of Concessions, National Capital Region (NCR), National Park Service, 1100 Ohio Drive S.W., Washington, D.C. or at telephone number (202) 619-7072, during business hours of 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. To receive amendments to this Prospectus, please provide the Chief of Concessions, National Capital Region with your contact information including name, email address, and phone number) at Chad_Tinney@nps.gov or (202)619-7072. The NPS will send any additional information specific to the Prospectus in writing, via email, to interested parties who request a hard copy of the Prospectus or who have been placed on the contact list. The contact list already includes the existing Concessioner. Information relative to the solicitation will also be posted to the above mentioned website.
