SP470218Q0501 SP470218Q0501 SF1449 STATEMENT OF WORK Sign Language Interpreting Services Portsmouth Naval Shipyard ME GENERAL: It is the policy of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime, a federal agency, to provide equal employment opportunities for its employees, former employees, as well as applicants for employment with policies and practices in full compliance with the laws and regulations governing equal employment opportunity. The DLA Land and Maritime Interpreter Services contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity for one (1) base year plus two (2) option years. SCOPE: The scope of the contract is to obtain at location, interpreting services for deaf and hard of hearing employees, former employees, and applicants on an as needed basis for DLA Land and Maritime Portsmouth Naval Shipyard location. BACKGROUND: Due to the increase in demand for and the lack of the resources necessary for effective, timely interpreting services for the deaf and hard of hearing employees, DLA Land and Maritime has determined that contractor-provided services for this requirement is in the best interest of the Government. DLA Land and Maritime EEO Office will act as the technical Point of Contact (POC) for the Government. She/he will initiate all requests and monitor all vendor performance. The DLA Land and Maritime EEO Office authority is limited to technical reviews and does not authorize she/he to make contractual decisions. The authority to resolve monetary issues and contractual interpretation is the responsibility of the contracting officer. REQUIREMENTS/TASKS: The Contractor will provide all of the necessary personnel, services, and material needed to perform the work set forth in this Statement of Work including but not limited to all equipment and related materials/office supplies, and administrative support services. Certified interpreters will perform eighty percent of the interpreting each month. In the event that an option year is exercised, the contractor will be responsible for updating all materials in conjunction with DLA Land and Maritime EEO Office Subject Matter Experts (SME).
