- Description
- One of USBP's strategic objectives is to establish and maintain effective control of air, land, and maritime borders with the appropriate mix of infrastructure, technology, and personnel. An integral component to this situational awareness is the planned use of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) to provide Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA) capability to the USBP along the southern and northern border. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research to determine if available technology solutions can address the USBP sUAS requirement. CBP is interested in obtaining information and identifying proven, reliable, fully developed, fully integrated, open architecture systems that have been deployed in operational environments typically faced by USBP. In addition, this RFI is also seeking information about sUAS technology solutions that are DHS Science and Technology (S&T) Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 and above. Responses to this RFI are solicited from all interested parties.
