Description

This Sources Sought is for information and market research only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced and interested potential sources. Responses will NOT be considered as proposals, nor will any award be incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Business or Large) relative to NAICS 812331, 812332 or 812320 for uniform, floor mat, and work towel rental and cleaning services. The Government intends to establish a multiple-award BPA which may be done by region as a result of the information received. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on FEDBIZ OPPS website, www.fbo.gov. Contracting Service is seeking interested sources (contractors) for a near-future solicitation and procurement for the following: The contractor shall provide serviceable uniforms, towels and mats at the beginning of each period of performance. The contractor shall provide measurements and fitting as necessary. Additionally, the contractor shall provide replacement of lost or damaged items throughout each period. The contractor shall maintain uniforms, towels and mats throughout each period. The contractor shall pick up, clean, and deliver uniforms, towels and mats on a weekly basis. There are over 130 cemeteries in the National Cemetery Administration. Not all rent uniforms, some only need the cleaning service, not all have towels or matts. Some cemeteries have an influx of temporary summer help that will need uniforms. Presently there are 14 National Cemeteries that require uniforms, more will be added: Fayetteville, AR Camp Butler, IL Ft Gibson, OK Ft Sam Houston, TX Salisbury, NC Ft Snelling, MN Sarasota, FL West Virginia Leavenworth and Ft Leavenworth, KS Massachusetts Calverton, NY Quantico, VA Ft Custer, MI At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. The period of performance shall be a Date of Award to Sept 30, 2018 and four (4) option years to be exercised at the Government s discretion. All work will be performed during the normal work week and shall not take place on Federal Holidays or weekends.
