- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Applanix Corporation, 85 Leek Crescent, Richmond Hill, ON Canada for the following products and service: -DSS 439 Extended Hardware Warranty and Annual DSS 439 Maintenance Procedure Extended Firmware/ Controller Software Warranty, Extended Software Maintenance (QTY 1) -Extended Software Maintenance Items for the period January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-88, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 511210 with a business size standard of 6.5 million dollars. A quote is being requested under solicitation no. DJF-18-0700-PR-0002323 using Simplified Acquisition procedures. This will be a fixed price contract for a base and four option years. Based on FBI market research, it has been determined that Appalanix. is the only source to meet the FBI requirement and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Applanix Corporation is the sole manufacturer of the DSS camera system, POSPAC and associated warranty and maintenance. They do not have resellers of GSA E-Buy or NASA SEWP. The proposed contract action is for customization of software for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of TLE 41,usc (c)(1). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may indentify their interest and capability to respond by submitting a proposal to include technical qualifications and experience/pricing and any other information to Andrea K. Walker, Contracting Office, and address listed above. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference and apply to the acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to offeror-Commercial Items (JAN 2017): FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Item (OCT 2014), FAR clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Items (JAN 2017); FAR 52.212-5 clause, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items (JAN 2017). Each offeror shall include a complete copy of the clause 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Item (JAN 2017). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed required is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
