This is a Request for Information (RFI) only; it is not a request for quotations or offers. 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although proposal and offeror are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This sources sought is issued for the purpose of conducting market research to identify qualified and responsible Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) sources for a brand-name or equal Tennant T500 orbital floor scrubber. (d) Responsible and qualified sources are being sought to fulfill a potential need for a Tennant 500 brand-name or equal orbital floor scrubber for the Des Moines Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). See the below listed salient characteristics. Salient Characteristics: Commercial/Industrial grade. Machine Type: Walk-Behind Main Down Pressure: Low: 105-112 lbs. High: 168 172 lbs. Sound level/Quiet mode: 65-67 db / 60-62 db. Charger type: On-board, Off-board. Estimated Run Time: Up to 5.9 hours. Power Source: AGM Gel Battery Head Type: Orbital Scrubbing speed: 2.2 2.4 mph Scrub Motor: 24 VDC, 0.75 hp / 0.55 kW Brush Pad RPM: 2000 2300 RPM Solution tank capacity: 20 23 gal Recovery tank capacity: 26 - 28 gal. Cleaning path/Head: 26 - 28 inch. Squeegee width: 37 40 in. Water lift: 32 - 35 in. Optional use of detergent-free orbital scrub head for chemical-free floor finish removal. Improved  operator ergonomics through controls that put the  propel switch and speed setting  within easy reach of operator. Integrated squeegee and p-trap designed for water pick up that prevents water drips on floor surface after cleaning. OEM Warranty Period must meet or exceed the below specifications: 10 Year on Rotationally-Molded Components. 36 Months on Parts. 12 Months Battery. 24 Months on Labor. 6 Months on Travel. 2,000 on Hourmeter. ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER (OEM) The Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that the OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. The vendor shall provide new items ONLY; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. All standard training material, software, start-up guides and packaging will be included as sold, shipped and distributed by the OEM. Brand-name items are to be delivered as specified and allowed with the original manufacturers distribution agreements. This agreement only includes commercial items. Products that are not commercial items are considered experimental and purchase of experimental products shall not be authorized under this agreement.
