- Description
- FIBERGLASS AQUACULTURE TANKS (24 EACH) This amendment is to answer vendor questions and to provide clarification concerning the standpipe configuration. 2-inch PVC elbow (90 degree, SxS ) is fit through a cut-out at base of 4-inch PVC standpipe. 2-inch horizontal drain from standpipe is similarly fit through a cut-out on opposite side (see attached image). The two pieces are fixed in place, sealed, and reinforced using polyester resin reinforced with glass roving or cloth. Similarly the bottom of standpipe is closed using FRP. All exposed fiberglass is then gel-coated to match tank external color. Care must be taken to insure that 2-inch PVC elbow is centered in the larger 4-inch standpipe and oriented so that internal removable 2-inch standpipe does not hit sides of external 4 inch standpipe. It is recommended that a jig be used to hold pieces in place while fiberglass is laid-up. The Inner Standpipe is removable. See Attachment for Drawing. No further questions will be accepted.
