THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is performing market research. This Sources Sought is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Businesses, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned-Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS code) 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing). The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center located in Milwaukee, WI has a need for (20) Neuromuscular Block Agent (NMBA) monitors and Nerve Locator functionality in the Anesthesiology Division. This device measures anesthesia-induced neuromuscular blockage during the perioperative state (pre-operative, operative, post-operative, and recovery). Neuromuscular blockage is routinely measured to monitor the anesthetic depth of the patient. The device also locates nerves by electrical stimulation. Nerve stimulation is a commonly used method for localizing nerves before the injection of local anesthetic. No installation is required. On-site training is required. Approximately 50 users will need to be trained over a one-week period. A user s manual is required per machine. Specifications/salient characteristics: Must provide nerve location functionality Must provide neuromuscular blocking agent (NMBA) monitoring Must perform the following stimulating modes: Train-of-four (TOF), Double-burst (DB), Post Tetanic Count (PTC), Tetanus (TET), Twitch (1Hz, 2Hz, 5Hz) Must calculate and display numerically accurate and continuous TOF, DB, PTC, Must provide real time feedback of the strength of each measured contraction graphically. Must monitor whether the mapping probe of needle touches the patient Must operate with either snap or grabber style lead wire Must be mountable to an i.v. pole Must be portable due to space constraints Must be battery operated Total weight not to exceed.05 lbs Overall height not to exceed 9 Overall width not to exceed 6 Overall depth not to exceed 2 (Quantity required) (Model Number) (Description of Item) (20) (XT-41001-NA) (EIL 431: Anesthesiology: Nerve Stimulator With neuro blocking Agent Monitoring) All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, INCLUDING ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: Company name. Your response will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to the notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing) and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
