- This requirement is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under request for quote W912P818T0006. It is being procured as a firm fixed price under FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The designated NAICS code is 336611, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The work consists of furnishing all labor, management, equipment supervision, facilities, utilities, equipment, tools, lubricants, fuel, materials and articles (excluding Government furnished property) necessary to dry-dock the survey boat M/V Teche, in accordance with the specifications and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. Vessel information: The vessel is constructed of 5086/H-116 aluminum and displaces 39 long tons (lightship). The principal hull dimensions are: Length overall, 64'-11"; Beam Overall, 18'-6"; Depth amidships, 9'-6". Shipyard location: The Contractor's facility shall be located within a 100-mile radius of the U. S. Army Engineer District, Venice Sub Office, and Venice, LA. Any quote proposing performance at a location beyond this stated limit will be determined non-responsive and rejected. The estimated time of completion is 40 days from the date the boat arrives at the shipyard. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 16, 2018, and a due date for quotes will be established in the solicitation. The instructions and closing date and time for submission of quotes will be contained in the solicitation notice and package. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about January 16, 2018, on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential offerors MUST register on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov in order to receive notification(s) and/or change(s) to the solicitation. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will be activated and may be accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps web site. Prospective contractors who would like their company name included on the IVL list may do so on the FedBizOpps website under IVL. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. You will need the adobe acrobat reader for.pdf files (www.adobe.com) in order to open most files posted by the New Orleans District. Offerors are also encouraged to post notices of prospective subcontracting opportunities on the Small Business Administrations Subnet, at http://web.sba.gov/subnet. Offerors must be registered with System Award Management (SAM), in order to receive a Government contract award. If an offeror is not registered with SAM, it must register online at www.sam.gov.
