Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Cost type Delivery Order to an existing sole source contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. The Contractor shall provide program management, engineering, logistics, and other logistical support required to plan, manage, and execute engineering, logistical elements, and operational support for the Government's In-Service Program for H-53 helicopters. The H-53 In-Service efforts encompass a range of activities in the areas of (1) airframe and other Government aircraft system modifications, (2) readiness improvement and mitigation, (3) obsolescence management and mitigation, (4) reduction of safety hazards and mitigation, and (5) other emergent H-53 In-Service support requirements. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10,U.S, Code 2301 (c)(1), as instructed be the Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 6.302-1, only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
