- The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a sole source fixed-price contract to Prototype Thinking LLC for expert independent consulting services under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The Procurement is for subject matter expert advice regarding emerging technologies, strategic technology plans, and industry innovation activities as it relates to automation, machine learning, cloud architectures, and remote sensing, and will support NGA's Office of Capabilities and their Executive Team. NGA believes Prototype Thinking LLC is the only source reasonably available to satisfy this requirement. Prototype Thinking LLC is a small business firm that has subject matter expertise covering a wide range of specialized disciplines to include astrophysical research, consulting, and development of new hardware and software. Prototype Thinking LLC has specialized expertise in large projects and has scaled new projects from conception to significance. Prototype Thinking LLC has pioneered and practiced a unique approach to rapid prototyping, visioning, and data-driven design and is a critical enabler for a special NGA project. No compeition is being sought. The Period of Performance will be for one year after contract award. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contract Specialist within 5 days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
