THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. VA is required by Public Law 109-461 to give first priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors who can provide the following service for the Salem Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1970 Roanoake Blvd, Salem, VA 24153: DESCRIPTION The requirement is for fire alarm inspection and monitoring services. REQUIREMENTS Must be an authorized representative of the major equipment manufacturer, Simplex. Be fire alarm certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), as well as, the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA). Be certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or trained and qualified by an organization listed by a national testing laboratory to service fire alarms. All interested parties should respond, in writing via email to takira.peoples@va.gov. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. In response, please include the following: Company/individual name, Address, Point of contact with phone number Information describing your interest, Indicate FSS/GSA contract number or Open Market, as applicable FSS Category you qualify for Tax ID number DUNS number Capabilities statement Company Socio-Economic SIZE (example large, small, SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB etc.) Relevant Past Performce If subcontracting is contemplated provided subcontractors name and relevant past performance. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). The NAICS 561621 (Fire alarm monitoring services) is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $20.5 Million. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM) as a part of required registration in conjunction with FAR 4.1102(a) that states, Prospective contractors shall be registered in the (SAM) database prior to award of a contract or agreement. Therefore, due to time constraints, vendors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov to be considered for an award. Your response is required by 1:00 PM EST on Wednesday January 16, 2018.
