Page 1 of 1 Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 17, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a firm-fixed price task order against Philips Healthcare VA NAC contract VA797H-17-D-0022 for procurement of the following: Contractor shall provide troubleshooting, repair, replacement of defective parts, installation of Philips Healthcare proprietary firmware and software and calibration services are for a Philips Healthcare Mobile Diagnostic Radiographic System, serial number 14000013. This system is not under warranty and is owned by the Veterans Hospital. The location of the system is in room 207-11-KER at South Texas Health Care Systems; Kerrville VA Medical Center; 3600 Memorial Boulevard, Kerrville, Texas 788028. Contractor is to provide 100 percent of all materials, tools, travel, and labor. Adherence to Joint Commission Accreditation Healthcare Organization (JCAHO), Original Equipment Manufacturer s standards and the Food and Drug Administration (FDR) Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Title 21 is mandatory. The system is listed below: REQUEST FOR SERVICE: MANUFACTURER: Philips Healthcare SYSTEM: Mobile Radiographic System MODEL #: Mobile Diagnostic EE #: 126217 SERIAL #: 14000013 LOCATION: 207-11-KER SERVICE REQUIRED: Troubleshoot, repair and replace parts to restore the system to an operational state in accordance to Manufacturer s specifications. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No contract will be awarded based on offers received in response to this notice; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals or offers received will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. If no affirmative written response is received by January 12, 2018 at 0900 CST from the publication of this notice, a task order will be issued to Philips Healthcare, without further notice. The anticipated statutory authority permitting limiting the source for the requirement is FAR 8.405 6(a)(1)(i)(B) - Only one source can provide the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Notice: the POC for this notice does not have a Federal Business Opportunities registration account. The POC does not have any visibility to the Interested Vendors List tab within the notice. Interested firms must respond directly to the POC email address listed in the notice for consideration.
