- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Verified (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Business (VOSB) sources which can provide the following equipment: Description: Device License (50 to 90 Tier) Maintenance Vendor shall provide all necessary equipment for Device License (50 to 90 Tier) Maintenance. Device License (50 to 90 Tier) Maintenance requires maintenance for Ricoh Copiers at Walla Walla WA Veterans Administration that requires yearly maintenance and software, device licenses. Device License (50 to 90 Tier) Maintenance 55 Each Additional OCR Engine Maintenance 1 Each OM Device License (50 to 99 Tier) Maintenance 55 Each Device License (50 to 90 Tier) Maintenance Specifics Nuance Technical Support, which includes access to the technical support technicians as well as software upgrades, is covered under the maintenance agreement terms included in the proposal. It is listed as Maintenance and Support (M&S) in the price configuration. Technical or break/fix support services include: 1. Web-based self-help services through use of forums and knowledgebase at http://nuanceimaging.custhelp.com/app/answers/list 2. Email via IMSupport@nuance.com 3. Twitter @nuanceimage 4. Live and call back telephone support at (240) 233-2811 Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 8:00 PM EST 5. Remote Sessions using Teamviewer, GotoAssist, WebEx and Lync Technical support can entail troubleshooting or remote assistance in the event of system downtime, error messages, latency issues, how to queries, and so on. Having access to Nuance technical support is integral to the ongoing upkeep of any Nuance solution including AutoStore and Output Manager (also known as SecurePrint). M&S preventing any system downtime and maintaining compliance with federal information security directives and mandates. Software updates allow companies to maintain the latest version of software in the production environment. Updates include product enhancements, feature additions, hotfixes, and patches. Update downloads are available through the AutoStore Process Designer and the Output Manager License Wizard. However, an active Maintenance Contract ID is required to install any updates; in other words, the account must be current on their M&S. Maintenance Contract IDs are provided at the time of the product purchase and renewal. Potential SD/VOSB s having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated equipment are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Dan Salvesen at daniel.salvesen@va.gov no later than January 11, 2018 12:00 MST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; suggested equipment information including manufacturer, model and delivery schedule; whether system is presently offered on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. NAICS Codes 541519 are applicable to determine business size standard. Any questions or concerns may also be directed to Dan Salvesen via e-mail. The Government may or may not issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time.
