Description
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the closing date and answer questions. 1. The closing date is extended 5 additional days. Closing will be 01/10/18 @ 1pm MST. 2. Questions: Is there a brand and model number? Aladdin Temp-Right #MD16SLP8B4P45. But I stress that this model and brand are not mandatory. we could do a single compartment cart with 2 trays per ledge and fit 12 trays.   I am assuming 2 trays per ledge is ok since they want pass thru doors.     Yes, 6 trays per side is acceptable/expected  My biggest concern in reading these specs is related to the tow hitch.     Are they going to be purchasing our tug or are they using a piece of equipment they already have?   We would need to know specs on the hitch as well as the piece of equipment is connecting to.    We use our electronic mule to tow these carts. The best we can do with the specs at the moment is this:   Two ½ thick bars protrude from back of mule which are 3 wide with ¼ diameter hole at the end of each bar. The lower bar is 8.5 off the ground. Upper bar is 11.5 off the ground with 2 space in between bars.   Our current hitch system uses a metal pin which inserts into the 1/4 holes.   The tow hitch needs to be retractable underneath the cart. One last question for clarification, what do they mean by 8 balloon casters?     We typically use 6 casters on our tray delivery carts and a 12 tray cart is not that heavy 8 casters seem excessive.     Is there some specific reason or concern they are requesting these?" For how far we drive our carts, the 8 casters limit the vibration to the meal cart/food trays better than the 6. We occasionally drive on roads, but also drive in tunnels which have occasional metal transition pieces.
