NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a single source contract to SimiGon, Inc. to provide follow-on unmanned aircraft system (UAS) simulation engine and development environment system Simulation Software Support with the associated Licensing to be integrated into the Unmanned Aircraft System Research Simulator, an UAS simulator. The single source vendor is the only known source available that can provide the simulation software support with licensing. Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA ™s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. SimiGon is the developer and the sole distributor of its systems across the United States. The proposed NAICS code for this acquisition is 333318, Other Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing, with a size standard of $1,000 employees. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
