Additional documents will be provided as they become available.*** The Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Direct Attack Division (EBD), Weapons Branch at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida is inviting interested vendors to an Industry Day on July 24, 2017 at the University of Florida Research & Engineering Education Facility (REEF), located at 1350 N Poquito Rd, Shalimar, FL 32579 from 9am to 5pm. All times in this notice are referenced as Central Standard Time (CST). Sign in for the Industry Day will begin at 8:45am. A maximum of four (4) vendor personnel per company will be allowed to attend. The purpose of this event is to present an overview of the Weapon Planning Software (WPS) requirement with Industry and request input on recommended contracting methods best suited to a modular software development approach (i.e., Agile or similar). In addition to Program Managers and Technical personnel, the Government recommends interested vendors bring personnel versed in specific pros/cons of contracting methods best suited to modular software development. The WPS Industry Day will start with a general session starting at 9am followed by one-on-one sessions between vendor teams and WPS Program Office/Contracting personnel in private sessions to discuss technical approach to software acquisition as well as possible contract types, contract line item (CLIN) structures, and deliverables. The one-on-one sessions will be assigned/arranged randomly after the registration deadline has passed and, depending on the number of attendees, will last approximately 1 hour per private session. The NAICS associated with this notice/requirement is 511210 Software Publishers with PSC 7010 Information Technology Equipment System Configuration. To attend, interested vendors should fill out the attached Attendee Notification Form and submit to the points of contact identified below via email. Initial Attendee Notification Forms must be submitted NLT July 11, 2017 at 3:00pm, but changes to attendee lists may be updated until noon, July 21, 2017. All registered vendors who request a one-on-one session will be notified of their assigned one-on-one time slot not later than July 17, 2017. Background: WPS contract products are compatible with a multitude of combat aircraft/weapon platforms in direct support to a host of Department of Defense (DoD) and authorized foreign country units worldwide. Additional information on the WPS requirement can be found in the attached "WPS Background for Industry Day" document. To obtain a copy of the SRD & MPRD complete the attached Export Controlled Information Request Form and submit it to the point of contact identified below. Upon verification of the offeror's status and acknowledgement of responsibilities under U.S. export control laws and regulations, the requested document package will be provided.
