- Project work will consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 500,000 cubic yards of material from the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) in the vicinity of Ponce de Leon Inlet from Cut V-22 to Cut V-35 to a depth of 12 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth and the Ponce de Leon Inlet navigation channel from Cut-1A to Cut-5N to a depth of 12 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Excavated material will be placed in a designated nearshore placement area which lies approximately 1.6 miles (8,448 feet) south of the inlet in 8 to 18 feet of water. The excavated material will be piped via an existing pipeline located at Sapphire Road and Maryanne Clancy Park which emerges onto the beach and then placed in the nearshore OR the material can be transported via a floating pipe around the south jetty and down to the nearshore disposal area. Additional work includes turbidity and endangered species monitoring. The estimated performance period is 195 days from issuance of Notice To Proceed. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. THIS ACQUISITION IS RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS AND WILL BE ISSUED AS AN INVITATION FOR BID (IFB). NOTE: TO BE CONSIDERED A SMALL BUSINESS, A FIRM MUST PERFORM AT LEAST 40 PERCENT OF THE VOLUME DREDGED WITH ITS OWN EQUIPMENT OR EQUIPMENT OWNED. This solicitation will be issued on or about 29 December 2017 with bids due on or about 07 February 2018. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: https://fedbizopps.gov/. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR on the Federal Business Opportunities website.
