- Description
- The contractor shall furnish all management, personnel, vehicles, supplies, equipment, etc. required to perform work. This project is to update the chiller in the Mechanical Room of the building (B1080), as well as associated pumps and control system. The scope of work shall be in accordance with contract documents as a whole to achieve the goal. The scope of work consists of the following: Demolition and removal of specified equipment and settings in the Mechanical Room and on top of the roof, (including removal of asbestos and lead paint identified, and abandoned pad, anchor bolts, brackets, pipes, wires and cables, etc. that are on the floor, walls, and roof).The selected contractor will be required to hold all applicable licenses, permits and/or certificates, and any other items necessary to perform work; and will be responsible for insuring that any subcontractors hold the same. Fixing and patching the walls and the floor of the Mechanical Room after demolition; renovating the supporting structure for an air-cooled chiller on the roof, and repairing the roof after that. Procurement and installation of an air-cooled chiller system with two pumps, chemical feeder, piping system with related valves and branches, air separator, and accessories, as well as electrical power distribution, instruments and controls according to engineering design. The Mechanical Room, (both interior and exterior), shall also be repaired and/or renovated for fuel gas piping, sanitary pipe, floor drains, exhaust fan, louvers and wall painting. Integration of the updated controller to the campus-wide EMCS system via VLAN. (VLAN drop will be provided by Government). Test, adjust, and balance the water supply system at the supply side (Mechanical Room). Contractor shall also perform and pass the field performance test for commissioning. Upgrade electrical system by replacing two panelboards with one motor control center and one panelboard. Upgrade interior lighting system in the mechanical room by replacing fluorescent luminaires with LED. This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information, planning purposes, and market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for the future acquisition. No Award will be made from this sources sought. A solicitation may be available in early 2018; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation at this time. The United States Air Force is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. This acquisition is being considered as a Set-Aside for eligible 8(a) Service Disabled Veteran Owned and/or Verteran Owned firms. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 and the small business size standard is $15.0 Million. All interest and qualified sources should notify this office by e-mail.
