Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia intends to issue a solicitation for the procurement of brand name or equal Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) devices and accessories for in home use. The requirement is for a contractor to provide a continuous supply of brand name or equal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP), Variable Positive Airway Pressure (VPAP) devices and accessories to meet the needs of Veteran patients across the VA healthcare system. PAPs are used throughout VA, through issue to the Veteran, for the treatment for moderate and severe sleep apnea and have been endorsed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The Government intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) as Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside to establish multiple-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts. The anticipated period of performance is 1-year base with 1-year option. The Government anticipates awarding up to 8 awards from the resulting solicitation. The Government intends to post a draft RFP to Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 15 December 2017 for industry feedback and comment and a final solicitation on or about 31 December 2017. A final solicitation will be posted for 30 days. All responsible sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ ) under NAICS Code: 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, and verified in Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database. No telephone or email requests for information will be taken at this time.
