- Sources Sought Document with Part List Included This is a sources sought synopsis seeking information of potential firms (nationwide) that have an interest in submitting as a prime contractor, a proposal for the following description: CLIN 0001: Global Ground Support LLC Brand Deicer Parts (Part List Attached) We are requesting that all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in the everyday course of doing business. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1)Summarize how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle thistype of project. (2)Summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. The list ofrelevant projects may include names of the project team members and firm, point ofcontact (contracting officer and COR/inspector) with titles, phone and faxnumbers, project scope, and type of contract. (3)A statement of your current business size status under the NAICS code 336112 -Light Truck and Utility Vehicle Manufacturing. In your response, also indicatewhether you are a HUBZone small business concern, service- disabled veteran-owned small business firm, 8(a) contractor, small business firm, women-ownedsmall business firm, or large business firm. The information above must be submitted in written format via e-mail to phillip.nguyen.2@us.af.mil and talaya.jones.2@us.af.mil. This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be registered and active in System for Award Management (SAM). The SAM website is: https://www.sam.gov/. The information/capability statement must be received no later than 21 Dec 2017. This sources sought notice should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request. No solicitation is currently available. OMBUDSMAN (JUL 2017) (a)An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns fromofferors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman willmaintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsmandoes not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selectionofficial. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the sourceselection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman mayrefer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern.(b)Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns,issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution.Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g.,agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions,contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions). (c) If resolution cannot be made by the contracting officer, the interested party may contact the ombudsman, Ms. Susan R. (d) The ombudsman has no authority to render a decision that binds the agency.
