Description
This is not a Request for Project Proposal; this announcement is solely for planning purposes. A project award will not be made under this announcement. The Government intends to announce a Request for Project Proposal (RFPP) for execution of a project award(s) in support of Defense Arsenal Automotive (DA2) research and for award under Project Agreement 020 (DA2-PA020). The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the Defense Automotive Technologies Consortium (DATC), and industry in general, advanced notification of Government intent. In September of 2016, the Government entered into an 815 OTA with DATC for prototype projects to advance automotive technologies. It is the intent of the Government to make project award(s) to member(s) of the DATC as a result of member project proposals submitted via the Request for Project Proposals process. The Government anticipates releasing a solicitation for the following project: 25 Ton Semitrailer Lowbed (STLB) Prototype. The development of 25 Ton STLB Prototype will enable advanced tie down, suspension and braking systems to maintain mission effectiveness and safety while improving the vehicle’s operation efficiency. In order to obtain more information regarding the above project, you must be a member of the Defense Automotive Technologies Consortium (DATC). For information regarding membership or general questions regarding the DATC, please view their website at http://datc.saeitc.org.
