Description
ATTACHMENT 1 IRPOD TO FASTENER BPA RFI 2017 (EXAMPLE IRPOD) RFI FOR FASTENERS 2017 BPA RENEWAL The Government, specifically the NAVSUP Weapon System Support (WSS) Nuclear Reactor Supply Chain Management Directorate, has an ongoing need for various competitively procured fasteners (screws, bolts, studs, nuts, and washers) used in the secondary system of the Navy's nuclear reactors. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) Codes for these items are 5305, 5306, 5307, and 5310. The NAICS Code is 332722. The size standard is 500 employees. Subject fasteners are currently purchased via competitively issued call orders placed against the following five-year Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA): N00104-13-A-7000, N00104-13-A-7001, N00104-13-A-7002, N00104-13-A-7003, N00104-13-A-7005, and N00104-13-A-7006. These exisiting BPAs are expiring in 2018 and the Government is interested in issuing a new BPA to begin consecutively to the existing BPA, providing additional vendors the opportunity to participate. Based on historical data, the Directorate anticipates issuing approximately 300-500 delivery orders totaling approximately $1.1 million during the upcoming year. It is in the best interest of the Government to establish BPAs with multiple suppliers in order to provide maximum practicable competition. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice. However, interested small business concerns can view the attached Request For Information (RFI) to determine if its capabilities meet the technical and quality requirements necessary for the manufacture of this complex and critically applied nuclear material. See attached RFI for additional information. If any interested parties have questions concerning this Government requirement, please contact Ms. Jennifer D. Fasting, jennifer.fasting@navy.mil.
