- EXTEND RESPONSE DUE: Monday, December 11th. Technical Capabilities Required General 1. Design, Prototyping, Testing, and Production of Aircraft Electronics. 2. Avionics software development. Real time software development. Safety critical software development. 3. Integration of avionics for Unmanned aircraft. ACE Specific 1. Provide the following functions in one Line Replaceable Unit a. Flight Processor - Autopilot for Unmanned Aircraft b. Mission Processor - Overall Unmanned Aircraft Mission Functions c. Payload Processor - Overall operations of the EO/IR Camera, Laser Designator, Laser Pointer d. Inertial Management Unit - Inputs to the Autopilot e. Air data sensors - For calculation of airspeed and barometric altitude f. GPS receiver(s) - Receive GPS signals (Commercial and Military) and provide data to the above 2. Compatible with the Size Weight, and Power of the existing ACE III unit 3. Interfaces compatible with the existing ACE III unit. These include Analog PWM, Pneumatic, RF, Ethernet, Serial, and Discrete I/O. 4. Provide software for the Flight Processor 5. Accept govt. provided software for the Mission and Payload software for re-hosting on new units ASIM Specific 1. Provide a general purpose processor that can host the govt. provided Vehicle Specific Module for the RQ-7B TUAS. This govt. provided software sends and receives a common set of messages via the data link. On the vehicle side this software converts messages to Shadow Air Vehicle specific commands for operation of the Air Vehicle. 2. Compatible with the Size Weight, and Power of the existing ASIM unit 3. Interfaces compatible with the existing ASIM unit. These include Ethernet, Serial, and Discrete I/O.
