- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business and Small Businesses relative to NACIS 541990-All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services. Written responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Fedbizopps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors shall respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Contracting Office, is seeking sources for a potential purchase order to provide a wall-to-wall, roof-to-basement Life Safety Code ® survey for 6-12 days for the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. The contractor shall provide the following for various buildings: Provide a wall-to-wall, roof-to-basement Life Safety Code ® survey for 6-12 days, to include the following: Field conditions of life safety features including, but not limited to, rated doors, exit signage, means of egress, hazardous areas, etc. This excludes the records review for any inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection and/or life safety system. Full survey of all required smoke and fire rated barriers, vertical openings, corridor walls and travel distances. If barrier walls are found to be inadequate or significantly deficient, contractor will identify and survey alternative solutions for wall alignment to be reflected on Life Safety Compliance Drawings after approval and agreement. Support the organization in addressing alternative ways to review spaces (suites, etc.) to reduce overall costs while maintaining compliance and best practices. Survey Briefings: Conduct daily or weekly briefings of findings to address red flag issues or review items that will require discussion on remediation options. Report of Recommendations Provide a life safety excel deficiency report for management review. Final report output will include NFPA 101 ® 2012 Edition Code References as applicable. All final report output shall include remediation actions that define the steps for remediation of a deficiency: Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business or (2) Veteran Owned Small Business or (3) Small Business? Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to the attention of Monica Griffin, Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Contracting Office (NCO/MP) at monica.griffin@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 9:00 a.m. (PST) Friday, December 8, 2017. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced later. All interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
