- Market Research Questionnaire - MHE & Transportation Support Sources Sought - MHE & Transportation Support Requirement Description Summary: Fork Lift & Line Haul Support: This contract is planned to incorporated a 30- 60 day period of performance (05 January-02 March 2018), approximate 8-hour days (most if not all work is expected to occur during daylight hours) to include weekends and holidays. Location is Fort Hunter-Liggett, CA. A vast majority of the work is expected to occur from 05-30 January 2018 (Set-Up) and from 21 Februrary - 02 March 2018 (Tear-Down). The Contractor will be expected to provide at least one (1) 30,000 lbs Forklift and (1) Line Haul Truck/Trailer to move large and heavy cargo such as shipping containers, pallets, 7 ton concrete blocks, etc, around in the training area in preparation for upcoming training exercises. Bulk Fuel Haul Support: One (1) Bulk Fuel Hauler will be required to transport 500-1000 gallons of JP-8 Fuel daily from the on post fuel point to various locations throughout Fort Hunter-Liggett, CA (~05-20 January 2018). All equipment must be capable of operating on gravel and packed dirt roads and training sites as well as being able to transcend several hilltops with up to a 30 degree slope. Heavy Crane Support: Two Sixty 60 Ton Cranes are required to assist with the loading/unloading of military vehicles, containers, etc off of trains at the Camp Robert Rail Yards (Main & East Garrison) for ~37 days (16-29 Jan & 1-28 Mar 2018). The heaviest projected cargo are Stryker Combat Vehicles weighing approximately 50,000 lbs. each. All work will be conducted at the rail heads, no off-road site conditions are expected. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for General Transportation Support at Fort Hunter Liggett is being developed and relevant feedback from industry will be incorporated into PWS. In order to assist the Contracting Officer in developing an efficient and effective procurement strategy, a Market Research Questionnaire is posted in addition to this sources sought/request for information. Interested Contractors are encouraged to provide feedback using the provided Market Research Questionnaire.
