- NOVEMBER 21, 2017 UPDATE The Government thanks industry for its continued interest in the RVSS Upgrade procurement. The purpose of this communication is to update interested vendors. On May 11, 2017 the Government communicated a timeframe that (1) included releasing a draft solicitation in late summer 2017 (2) anticipated holding an Industry Day in the Washington DC area after the draft solicitation is released and (3) releasing the final solicitation towards the end of calendar year 2017. The Government also communicated that the "timeframes are estimates and the Government will release additional updates as appropriate." The Government no longer intends to release a solicitation towards the end of calendar year 2017, or at any time in the near future, and asks interested vendors to monitor both this RFI and Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) for additional information as it becomes available. THIS NOVEMBER 21, 2017 UPDATE IS AN INFORMATIONAL UPDATE ONLY. This update is provided solely for informational purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation. This update does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is not seeking proposals at this time and CBP will not pay for any cost associated with reacting to this update. All costs will be solely at the interested party's expense. If a solicitation is released, it will be posted at Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are advised to monitor this website for any information that may pertain to both this update and this RFI. The information provided in this update is subject to change and is not binding on the Government.
