- The United States Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract to Parker-Hannifin Corporation for the procurement of Re-chargeable Lead Acid Batteries for the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) (M-ATV). The Government estimates it will order 10 pre-production lead acid batteries and up to 200 production batteries, with an estimated period of performance (PoP) of 18 months. The above estimates are NOT a representation to an offeror or contractor that the estimated quantity will actually be required or ordered. This action will not be competed, in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B) "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." This is a pre-solicitation notice, otherwise known as a synopsis (summary). This is a notice of intent, not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
