- The US Forest Service contemplates posting the solicitation 12010918R0001 Tongass Roads Maintenance Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) on the Federal Business Opportunity website on or about December 12, 2017. Proposals will be due thirty or so days after release of the solicitation, and contract award is anticipated within sixty days after receipt of proposals. A set-aside for Historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) concerns is anticipated, but all interested concerns may download the solicitation. A concern who believes the best interest of the Government will be served by a different approach (for example, Small business set-aside or full and open competition) should share its thoughts with the contracting officer as soon as practicable after the posting of this pre-solicitation notice, but before release of the solicitation. We reserve the right not to release a solicitation. This IDIQ contract, and any resulting task order contracts, is for maintenance of Forest Service roads on the Tongass National Forest. Services include surface maintenance, drainage maintenance, earthwork, and drainage structure installation, replacement and removal. The contract is for three years with a base year and two option years. It is anticipated that 10 to 15 proposals will be selected for award of the parent contract. Each contractor selected is guaranteed a minimum of $500 of work. Do not send questions about this synopsis until the solicitation is posted.
