Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 -- Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR -- Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is attached to this announcement. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95, dated January 19, 2017. Solicitation # 36C25618Q0147 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and constitutes the only solicitation. The Government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award from this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562910 and the Small Business Administration s (SBA) size standard is $20.5 million for this procurement. This procurement will be issued as a total set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), see VAAR Clause 852.219-10. As such, quotes must be verified as a SDVOSB on the VA Center for Verification and Evaluation s website located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov to be considered for award. The Government is seeking a Contractor shall provide all necessary resources, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and expertise to perform asbestos abatement and demolition. Contractor must perform in accordance to the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The project must be completed in accordance with industry and conformance standards, applicable safety regulations, Government contract specifications and this scope of work. This requirement will be subject to Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) prevailing wages rates (WD 15-5233) (Rev.7) dated August 08, 2017. Place of Performance: Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center-Houston 2002 Holcombe Blvd, BLDG100 Houston, TX 77082 USA Period of Performance: December September 08, 2017 to March 08 2017 (Estimated). The Government s intent is to award without discussions. Site Visit: A site visit is scheduled for December 01, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center-Houston, 2002 Holcombe Blvd, BLDG100, Houston, TX 77082. Quoter (s) will meet at the north entrance of Building # 100 with Joey Grismore, Contracting Officer as he will be hosting the site visit. Attendance is NOT mandatory, but highly encouraged so quoter (s) can inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent the information is reasonably obtainable. All quoter(s) SHOULD RSVP for this site visit and limited to two (2) attendees per quoter. Please RSVP at Joey.Grismore@va.gov no later than December 07, 2017 1300 CST.
