- NOTICE: This is a Sources Sought/Market Survey announcement. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it commit or obligate the Government. This announcement does not restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach for any potential future procurement(s). The Government will not reimburse any respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. GENERAL: The Fleet Logistics Center, Sigonella Naples detachment is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of Industry to participate in a potential acquisition of dry docking and repair/overhaul services of an Expeditionary Fast Transport (T-EPF) Class vessel per the attached draft work items. Due to the minimum need of the U.S. Government, the place of performance is limited to contractors ™ facilities located along the coast of Western Europe that consist of the following regions: Gibraltar, the West and North coast of Spain, Portugal, the west coast of France, Ireland, United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Should the U.S. Navy elect to pursue the services, the period of performance would be anticipated to be from 31 March 2018 to 14 May 2018. BACKGROUND: The T-EPF is a catamaran vessel with an aluminum twin hull. The vessel has the following physical characteristics: Length: 103.0 m (337 ft. 11 in.) Beam: 28.5 m (93 ft. 6 in.) Draft: 3.83 m (12 ft. 7 in.) REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Interested parties are requested to provide the following information: a)Company name, physical location and point of contact information; b)Company CAGE Code and confirmation that company has an active registration with the System Award Management (SAM) portal. If company does not possess an active registration, interested parties can register for free at the follow website: https://www.sam.gov/ Interested parties are advised that in order to be eligible for potential future contract awards, offerors are required to possess an active SAM registration. c)Company ™s experience in providing the same or similar services listed in this notice (including number of years in providing these services). This experience may include services with commercial or Government organizations; d)Brief description of the vendor ™s facilities available for providing services and storage of the units described in this notice; e)Dry dock certification indicating that the dry dock was been inspected, how much it is rated for, and what organization issued the certification. f)Provide dry docking availability schedule and whether the company can meet the anticipated period of performance. g)Comments, suggestions and/or alternatives for accomplishing the work, if any. RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: Interested vendors are requested to provide to above information on or before 16:00 (04:00 PM) Central European Time (CET), 14 November 2017.
