Description
GSA is issuing a sources sought for the following renovation project at the Marquette US Post Office, 202 W. Washington Street, Marquette, Michigan, to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Small, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Woman Owned Small Business concerns. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project includes installing a new 3-stop passenger elevator from the exterior ground level to the Second and Third Floors to serve as a Judge's elevator. It also includes, but not limited to the following list and options: a. Selective demolition including removal of exterior windows and modification to exterior wall for connection to new elevator tower. b. Necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing demolition. c. New structural masonry walls, new poured foundations d. New Hydraulic Elevator cab, hoistway, pit, and machine room e. New Lighting f. New ramp, screen wall elevator enclosure, and vestibule connector g. New floor, wall, and ceiling finishes h. New heating and ventilation i. New smoke detectors j. Parking lot modifications Option 1: Renovate a portion of the Third Floor for the United States Marshals Service (USMS). a. Selective demolition including removal of walls, ceilings, and floors b. Necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing demolition. c. New stainless steel security walls, gypsum board walls d. New security ceilings and acoustic ceiling tile and grid e. New floor, wall, and ceiling finishes f. HVAC system modifications g. New Plumbing h. New Lighting i. Millwork j. Detention cells Option 2: Renovate a portion of the Second and Third Floors for the United States District Court (USDC). a. Selective demolition including removal of walls, ceilings, and floors b. Necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing demolition. c. New gypsum board walls d. New acoustic ceiling tile and grid and gypsum board ceilings e. New floor, wall, and ceiling finishes f. HVAC system modifications g. New Plumbing h. New Lighting i. Millwork It is anticipated the Request For Proposal (RFP) will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) in December. The awardee will be required to undergo the security clearance process. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Woman Owned Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc..), as well as examples of three projects completed within the last five years that included the scope of work specified above that will be required under this project, included phased work in an occupied space, and that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project.
