Page 2 of 2 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make the appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their Small Business Administration (SBA) size classification in relation to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561320 Temporary Help Services. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 is seeking sources to provide the following professional services at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) Plant Facility Department: Boiler Plant Operator The temporary help service contract will require one (1) boiler technician to operate a high-pressure steam and chiller plant for a total of 1,920 hours. The boiler technician will be assigned to the VA West LA Campus. The boiler technician shall be experienced with all aspects of boiler plant operations to run the equipment safe and effectively. Major Duties and tasks include, but are not limited to: Operating a high-pressure steam plant that serves complex buildings located in a campus-style environment. Possess the skills and knowledge of all operational phases of utility plan operations. Operate multiple high pressure steam boilers. Boiler Plan duties include, but are not limited to: Starting and stopping boilers along with associated auxiliary equipment. Continuous monitoring of boiler operations. Logging hourly boiler readings. Testing and analyzing boiler water to verify water treatment is within acceptable limits. Testing boiler safety devices. Operating emergency generator. Performing preventive maintenance and repair on boilers and associated boiler plant equipment. All interested offerors who can provide this service shall submit a written response to this notice and include the following: Company name, Address, Point of contact, Phone, fax, and email, DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax ID Number, Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business [NOTE: If you are a SDVOSB or VOSB, you must submit your certification from the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/)], Provide a copy of your company s current Representations and Certifications from www.sam.gov, Provide evidence your firm can supply the equipment and services for this Request for Information (RFI). Firms shall provide the following information on current and/or previous contracts in which you have provided this equipment. Furthermore, the Government may reach out to your listed point of contact to verify information provided in your response: Contract number Facility s Name and Address Point of contact, to include name, title, phone number, and email of the facility in which you have contracted with. Must complete and sign the following Word Document attached to this notice: S02 QUALIFICATION LIST BOILER PLANT OPERATOR If possible, provide an estimate rate for these services on a per procedure basis. All responses must be received no later than November 9, 2017, 12:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
